The editorial work is carried out by an international
group of scholars and a support staff listed in alphabetical order:
- Diana Kormos Buchwald, Director
& General Editor, is Professor of History in the
Division of the Humanities & Social Sciences at Caltech. Historian
of modern physical science. She serves as co-editor and has overall
final responsibility for the running of the project, including
fundraising and the English language translation project (626-395-8044,

- Jeroen van Dongen, Contributing Associate Editor (626-395-8069,
jvdongen@einstein.caltech.edu)
- Rudy Hirschmann, Information
Technology Manager. Software engineer and literary historian,
he is responsible for the technical infrastructure of the Project and
assists in the editorial work (626-395-4113, rudyhi@einstein.caltech.edu).
- Virginia Iris Holmes, Editor
and Senior Research Fellow. Historian of Modern Jewish and German
History, she works with Einstein’s non-scientific papers. (626-395-3378, viholmes@einstein.caltech.edu).
- József Illy, Visiting Editor
and Visiting Associate in History. Historian of science, he is mainly
occupied with annotating Einstein's correspondence and various

- Daniel Kennefick, Contributing
Scientific Editor. Physicist and historian of science
specializing in gravitational waves, he works on the scientific

- Rosy Meiron, Volunteer Editorial
