The editorial work is carried out by an international group of scholars and a support staff listed in alphabetical order:

  • Diana Kormos Buchwald, Director & General Editor, Professor of History at Caltech. A historian of modern physical science, she serves as co-editor and has overall responsibility for managing the Project, fundraising, and the English language translation editions (626-395-8044, diana_buchwald@einstein.caltech.edu).
  • Carol Chaplin, Assistant to the General Editor & Administrative Assistant (626-395-8028, cchaplin@caltech.edu).
  • Jeroen van Dongen, Editor and Visiting Associate, is Assistant Professor at the Institute for History and Foundations of Science, Utrecht University. He works on both scientific and historical annotation (626-395-3243, jvdongen@einstein.caltech.edu).
  • Rudy Hirschmann, IT Manager. Software engineer and literary historian, he is responsible for the technical infrastructure of the Project and assists in the editorial work (626-395-4113, rudyhi@einstein.caltech.edu).
  • József Illy, Editor and Visiting Associate in History. Historian of science, he annotates Einstein's correspondence and scientific writings. (626-395-8070, illy@einstein.caltech.edu).
  • Daniel Kennefick, Scientific Editor and Assistant Professor of Physics at the University of Arkansas. Physicist and historian of science specializing in gravitational waves, he works on the scientific annotation of relativistic materials. (danielk@einstein.caltech.edu).
  • A. J. Kox, Senior Editor and Visiting Associate. Historian of Science, Professor at the University of Amsterdam (ajk@einstein.caltech.edu).
  • Rosy Meiron, Volunteer Editorial Assistant, assists in proofreading and translating manuscripts (626-395-1780, rmeiron@einstein.caltech.edu).
  • Osik Moses, Assistant Editor. Trained in history and mathematics, she assists in all editorial and production processes for both the documentary and the translation editions (626-395-3480, moses@einstein.caltech.edu).
  • Jennifer Nollar, Library, Reprint, and Accessions Catalog Administrative Assistant (626-395-8064, jenny@einstein.caltech.edu).
  • Ze'ev Rosenkranz, Editor and Member of the Professional Staff. Past Curator at the Albert Einstein Archives in Jerusalem. Archivist and historian, he works on the materials pertaining to Einstein's family correspondence and Jewish issues (626-395-3658, zeev@einstein.caltech.edu).
  • Tilman Sauer, Senior Scientific Editor and Senior Research Associate. Physicist and historian of science, he works on the scientific annotation of relativistic materials and on unified field theory (626-395-8544, tilman@einstein.caltech.edu).
